After a meeting in a very hot, sunny, yard in the month of June, Caroline and Mark agreed that Modbury Farm Shop would be the perfect location for cheese and wine pairings .
From our shared love of the Bride Valley and all that Dorset provides, we decided an event, based on that mutual love, would be fitting. From that energy, 'Alfresco in the Yard' was born! Keep an eye out online and in the shop, for more events, offers and collaborations coming through the year.
Mark and Caroline are passionate and experienced wine folk based in Dorset, who love finding exceptional, interesting and great value wines and then delivering them to you…a curious, committed wine lover. Ismay Dorset Brie – cows milk
"We have chosen Furleigh Estate’s Bacchus Dry to pair with the Ismay Dorset Brie. The Ismay gives a textured, creamy background which complements the gooseberry and elderflower flavour in the Bacchus Dry.”


Shakespeare Brie – sheep milk
“We recommend the Badassiere Viognier from the Languedoc in France to partner the Shakespeare Brie. The ripe peach & apricot of the Viognier brings the salty sharpness of the Brie to life.”
