The Baron de Badassiere Viognier is produced on the clay-limestone soils close to the Picpoul de Pinet AC area of the Languedoc. This area benefits not only from lots of subshine to give ripeness to the Viognier but also cooling sea breezes which help retain freshness. The result is a modern style of Viognier with oodles of peachy & apricot fruit and balanced citrus acidity. Try with a salad of mozzarella, peach and walnuts.

Viognier 2024, Baron de Badassiere, Languedoc, France
“We recommend the Badassiere Viognier from the Languedoc in France to partner the Shakespeare Brie. The ripe peach & apricot of the Viognier brings the salty sharpness of the Brie to life.”
The Cave de Pomerols which produces the wines of Baron de Badassiere is one of the best in the Languedoc, producing wines which are delicious to drink yet well priced. All show great varietal character and a sense of place but it is the Viognier that we choose as our favourite!
