In the Bride Valley, Modbury Farm Shop is family run on a working farm. Stocking products supporting farmers, local producers, growers, artists and crafters.
Produce is seasonal and environmentally sourced.
The name Modbury from the Saxon 'Moot Burgh' meaning a meeting place.

Their focus is supplying superb local produce, sustainable shopping, encouraging food awareness and supporting their local economy.
Lucinda the Lensomy Lifestylist teaches through classes that eating local and seasonal food is better for your digestion, healthier for you and the world around us. Food is medicine.
They stock handmade preserves and locally baked bread and cakes. Meats are local, often from Modbury Farm itself. Dorset Turkeys are available to pre-order.
Free range eggs are locally sourced, and also from the farmyard. Coffee is a speciality and the Modbury Dark Roast from our local roaster in Weymouth sits very proudly on our beverage dresser.
Natural sugars and baking ingredients are available including organic flours from Tamarisk farm, plus gluten free options.
Lucinda, a coeliac prides herself on the shop being suitable for all dietary requirements, feel free to shop like everyone else and find products as you wander.
You will find many local cheeses. Hear about the Open Dairy's approach to milking in the fields and their amazing Cheddar. Un-homogenised organic full fat milk is in the churn waiting for you to fill up using the returnable glass bottles.
This year Modbury has become a stockist for local wool and all proceeds go to the shepherdesses. They encourage local crafters to use natural fibres.
Creative Natural Fibre circles run alternate Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year for those who would like to exchange and gain wisdom to ensure these skills are not lost.
'Lensomy Knits' unique pure wool designs are available to purchase, plus other English wool products. The Home Sweet Home range includes unique scented candles, essential oils, rollerballs and room diffusers.
