What’s Inside the Box
Open Air Cheddar (Cow’s Milk – Hard / Mature)
The Open Air Dairy, Little Bredy, Dorset
Crafted from 100% pasture-fed cows that graze freely on the rolling South Dorset Downs and are milked right out in the fields. A rich, buttery, mature cheddar with a savoury bite, smooth texture, and deep grassy undertones.
Ismay Brie (Cow’s Milk – Soft / Bloomy Rind)
The Book & Bucket Cheese Company, Cranborne, Dorset
A decadent, traditional British brie made from fresh local Dorset milk. Soft and velvety beneath an ivory bloom rind, delivering a luscious, melting texture with earthy mushroom and warm cream notes.
Cranborne Blue (Jersey Cow’s Milk – Blue)
The Book & Bucket Cheese Company, Cranborne, Dorset
Handmade using rich, golden Jersey cow milk from a small neighbouring herd. Creamy with a natural oaty sweetness, studded with vibrant blue-green veins that provide a clean, salty, piquant finish.
Shakespeare (Sheep’s Milk – Soft / White Bloom Rind)
The Book & Bucket Cheese Company, Cranborne, Dorset
A World Cheese Award gold medal winner made from 100% local ewe's milk. Gentle, sweet, and delicate when young, it ripens into an unctuous, spoonable paste with complex nutty notes and a silky, lingering finish.
Michael’s Mount (Goat’s Milk – Soft / Lactic)
White Lake Cheese, Somerset
A multi-award-winning unpasteurised lactic goat's cheese. Light, fresh, and citrusy at its core, framed by a delicate wrinkled rind that develops a gentle peppery warmth and savoury depth as it ages.
Serving Suggestions
Bring to Room Temperature: Remove from the fridge roughly 45 to 60 minutes before serving to let the flavours open up and the soft bries achieve their ideal ooze.
Accompaniments: Pair with crusty sourdough, artisan seeded crispbreads, pickled shallots, and orchard apple or quince chutney.
In the Glass: Complements crisp West Country cider, English sparkling wine, or a medium-bodied red.
