The Red :
Baccolo Rosso is an Appassimento from the Veneto district of Italy – grapes are partially dried to concentrate flavours, creating a wine with rich dried fruit character, gentle sweetness, and velvety texture.
Why They Work Together:
Blue cheese needs a wine with enough richness and sweetness to balance its savoury intensity, and Appassimento is perfect. The dried fruit super ripe & rich red cherry flavours of Baccolo Rosso complements the creamy, mellow blue character of the Vinny, while the wine’s natural sweetness tempers the cheese’s saltiness.

The Funkstille Gruner has been a real success. Here we have the new vintage which is another classic from the wine makers at Funkstille. A wine for lover’s of crisp, aromatic and ripe whites, it’s refreshing with a great exotic, pear and citrus. Keep a couple of bottles in the fridge chilled and ready!
