6.6 miles Washingpool Farm
John, Joyce and Noel Eveleigh moved to Washingpool Farm in the 1970’s where they started growing fruit and vegetables.
The farm consists of land situated on the end of the sand belt that runs from Yeovil, 20 miles away, through to Bridport. This means the soil is free draining and ideal for growing vegetables as it can be worked most of the year. The farming system is virtually sustainable with both animals and crops playing a vital role.

Washingpool Farm is an eighty acre farm which runs to the river Brit near Pymore. The farm supplies their shop and restaurant with fresh and tasty fruit and vegetables as well as their own lamb, beef and eggs.
The sandy soil on the top of the ridge makes it ideal for growing vegetables and potatoes.
We love their Wilja spuds which are fluffy inside and make great roasters !
A hard working local well loved family living a Lensomy lifestyle on the land and sharing their crops with the people of Brid[port ensuring everyone gets their five a day .
